In a shocking turn of events, Michael "Big Mike" Lynche was the bottom contestant on American Idol last night, so like Didi Benami, Lacey Brown, and Paige Miles, Big Mike had to sing to save himself. But unlike Didi, Lacey, and Paige, the judges decided unanimously to use their one "save" a season on Mike! Yep, Big Mike is in the competition for at least one more week!
So instead of one person being voted off next week, two will be. And, the judges will not be able to save any other contestant from being eliminated in the upcoming weeks. Next week, American Idol season eight runner-up Adam Lambert will be mentoring the contestants and performing his song "Whataya Want From Me."
